单耀宗号南山居士，婺州牧人。浙江省金华人，自十岁就接触绘画启蒙，速写人物，动物，山水及写生。自幼聪颖，心摹手写，醉心画技，青年时期曾遍寻名师，在动荡的年代更是坚持绘画，以画笔坚持本心，牛棚，农场，不惧条件艰辛，只求内心追求之富足，深受名家感动，曾得李苦禅、李可染、朱屺瞻、蒋海齐等大师，亲自授艺，师承真传于齐派、李苦禅、岭南派，长安派，海派，可谓齐派之传出高人，博采众长，集百家之精华。专攻花鸟，兼人物、山水、动物，是少有的全项兼得之大师，数十年如一日，沉浸墨彩之中。

The faction, the Changan faction, and the Shanghai faction are the outstanding people of the school of Qi and the best of all. Specializing in flowers and birds, as well as characters, landscapes and animals, is a rare master of all-round acquisition, which has been immersed in ink for decades.

动物画以大型动物——老虎、狮子、猴、羊、马、牛、猪等。特别是几十米的工笔长卷，都以大型动物老虎、狮子、猴、羊、马、牛、鹿、狗、熊猫、熊、松鼠、白鹤、鸡等为对象。画风以齐派和岭南派、海派、长安派为基础，演变自己的独特风格。画法以工带写，动物花鸟大写意和工笔画各具特色。墨虾一绝，曾的齐白石关门弟子、忘年交高中大师高度赞扬，并写诗评画说：“齐派画虾出高人”。

自创重彩工笔大景花鸟画,用生宣纸直接作画，其画法深得海内外行家赞扬。作品被国内许多大收藏家收藏主要流向美国、新加坡、法国、韩国为主。作品多次获得国内外书法大展，获得许多金，银，铜等奖项。

The self-created heavy-coloured fine brushwork of Dajing flower-and-bird painting and the direct painting with raw rice paper have won praise from experts at home and abroad. The works are collected by many large domestic collectors mainly to the United States, Singapore, France and Korea. His works have won many calligraphy exhibitions at home and abroad, and many awards such as gold, silver and copper.

2016年文化部全国书画协会重整后，作品被编入华人艺术家走出国门十家一书；

2017年考取国家一级美术师，国礼特供艺术家职称；

2018年8-9月一个月左右时间被中国邮政部门选入44张作品出邮票，是行内很少见的人物；

2018年被评中国百佳书画家；

In 2015, it was rated as one of the top ten famous experts in China.

After the reorganization of the National Calligraphy and Painting Association of the Ministry of Culture in 2016, the works were included in ten books of Chinese artists going abroad.

In 2017, he was admitted as a national first-class artist, and Guo Lite was appointed as an artist.

A month or so from August to September 2018, 44 works of postage stamps were selected by China Post Department, which is a rare figure in the industry.

In 2018, he was appraised as one of China's top 100 calligraphers and painters.

2019年3月份被邀请和新上任美协主席范迪安出了《艺坛巨匠两大家》一书；

2019年4月份上了《文化中国·聚焦当代艺术名家》一书。同时又被邀请和范迪安主席出了《当代艺坛巅峰之作》一书；

2019年4月份被中国世纪大采风书画院聘请为副院长，同时被授予院士称号。
